Printed Circuit Heat Exchanger

Printed Circuit Heat Exchanger (PCHE) is a compact heat exchanger with microchannels that has the advantages of high efficiency (up to 98%), low pressure drop, high compactness (1/6 ~ 1/4 of conventional shell and tube heat exchanger), corrosion resistance and good reliability. It can be used under the working pressure over 50 MPa and the working temperature over 700℃.

The manufacturing process of PCHE
1) Chemical etching
Channels are etched by using chemical etching method. The cross-section of the channels is usually semi-circle with radius of 1 ~ 2 mm. The channel forms are customized according to the actual need. 
2) Solid-state additive manufacturing
The etched plates are stacked to form the structure of the heat exchanger. The plates are diffusion bonded to turn into precision and high-strength block structure.
3) Integrated manufacturing
The blocks with channel structures are fusion welded together to form the integral core structure. Fluid guide and drainage devices are welded with the core to form the heat exchanger.
